Player-controlled vehicles and Turrets were introduced to the series in Serious Sam II, and examples include rocket launcher, machine gun, and laser turrets as well as hover bikes and hover saucers. While the simplistic gameplay is similar to that of the previous games in the Serious Sam series, the lives system is radically different from the original games in the series, in which the player is able to resume from checkpoints or saved games an infinite number of times. The player begins with a certain number of lives that represent the number of times the player is allowed to lose all of his health and re-spawn immediately from the last saved checkpoint. While Serious Sam for Xbox introduced a "lives system" to the series, the game was the first PC game in the series to implement this. More complicated gameplay mechanics that are often found in other games, such as Jumping Puzzles, are rare, and when encountered they are fairly simple, usually requiring the player to locate objects in order to unlock doors or advance to the next level. Serious Sam II's gameplay consists almost entirely of the player attempting to defeat hundreds of enemies at a time, and thus is relatively simple. ![]() The wushu, or martial arts, practiced by the Wulin are as varied as their clans. Neigong, Qinggong, and the Secret Scriptures The Wulin consists of many factions, sects, and brotherhoods under many masters, and each may be aligned, neutral to, or openly hostile to another. This is no organized group, but a community that anyone who has dedicated themselves to a martial discipline belongs to. In the Jianghu exists the Wulin (“woo-lin”), or the society of martial artists. Government authorities are too corrupt to trust, so codes of honor must be adhered to instead of the law. It is a place of complications and chaos, a place where society is falling apart under the pressures of corruption and war, a place beset by the worst qualities of man and yet a place where the best qualities of man may still prevail. Jianghu is not a specific location, but really a way of describing the state of the world. Wuxia takes place in the Jianghu (“Jee-AHNG hoo”), which translates literally to “rivers and lakes”. So with that in mind, here’s a quick primer on what it means to exist in a Wuxia world. Trying to play “Blade and Soul” without understanding Wuxia is a little like trying to play an FPS without understanding military culture it’s possible, but you are probably missing a lot. Anyone familiar with eastern literature or movies would recognize it as a Wuxia (“woo-shya”) tale, a modern storytelling genre with roots deep in Chinese culture but a reach that extends to westerns and modern day action movies. To the uninitiated, the story of “Blade and Soul” might look simply like an excuse to beat people up with Kung Fu, but it is actually a tale of loyalty, morality, revenge and redemption. 1.2 Neigong, Qinggong, and the Secret Scriptures. ![]() ![]() ![]() The platform holder announced at E3 2018 that it had acquired Seattle, Washington-based Undead Labs. Microsoft revealed State of Decay 3 for Xbox Series X/S and PC in July. State of Decay and its sequel State of Decay 2 were both great games that got massive support from the developers, and also performed very well commercially. The preceding diagram illustrates the following process: ![]() The following Sign-in Process Architecture outlines the process architecture and communication flows during the authentication and sign-in process between Lync, the HDX RealTime Connector for Lync, and the HDX RealTime Media Engine, when client certificate authentication was enabled by Lync administrators. Sign-On Process with Client Certificate Authentication In some cases this requires that the RTCL have access to the user’s username and password. To create this certificate, RTCL must itself authenticate with the Microsoft Lync Web Services using either: To enable client certificate authentication, RTCL must interact with the Web Services component of the Microsoft Lync Front end server to create a security certificate for the RTME to use in authentication with Lync. Kerberos authentication is supported for Windows endpoints (only).Authentication using NTLM or Kerberos are the fallback methods that are used by RTME when client certificate authentication is not enabled by Lync administrators. This type of authentication is also the only method supported for Office 365 Lync accounts. Authentication using a client certificate is the preferred method that mostly results in SSO experience without additional credential prompts to the user.RTME supports two authentication methods that might result in different user experience with authentication: The job of the RealTime Connector for Lync (RTCL) running in the Windows environment on XenApp/XenDesktop is to collect the user credentials and send them (encrypted) to the RTME. The important thing to note is that the HDX RealTime Media Engine (RTME) running on the end-user terminal device must successfully authenticate with the Lync Front End or Edge server in order to enable optimized calling. Note: This article does not apply to HDX RealTime Optimization Pack 2.x since in this second-generation architecture, authentication to the Skype for Business Server is handled exclusively by the Skype for Business client using the context of the user’s authentication to the Windows operating system on XenApp/XenDesktop.
